Foxit to Chrome. No plugin?

This is a How-To-Guide for Windows 7, but also works for older versions.

How to see pdfs with foxit reader in a google chrome tab? Do the following steps:

1. Install latest chrome version

2. Install latest firefox version (you need it, because otherwise foxit wont install the npFoxitReaderPlugin.dll)

3. Install latest foxit reader version (choose firefox plugin: YES)

4. In C:Program FilesFoxit SoftwareFoxit Readerplugins you can find the files

  FoxitReaderOCX.ocx 

and

  npFoxitReaderPlugin.dll

Copy/Paste both to C:UsersUserNameAppDataLocalGoogleChromeApplicationPlugins

If the folder ...Plugins does not exist, create it and insert the two files mentioned above.

5. deinstall firefox if you dont want to use it

6. restart chrome

7. it should work now

Remark: Many guides tell you only step 4...it doesnt help if you don't have the npFoxitReaderPlugin.dll in the directory.
