how i transfere my 30 or so bookmarks from standard windows internet explorer to google chrome?

i go to import bookmarks in tools...it then sais it has done it...but the i go to find a bookmark that i origanaly had on windows internet explorer and it is empty..i need all of them as they are for uni...but i also would realy like to use google chrome...can anybody help me?

When you first start using Google Chrome, you don't have to start with a blank slate. Grab all your stuff -- like your browsing history, search engines, bookmarks, and passwords -- from your old browser and import them into Google Chrome. Follow these steps (for Windows):

1. Close any other browsers that are open.
2. Open Google Chrome.
3. Click the Tools tools menu menu.
4. Select Options.
5. Click the Personal Stuff tab.
6. Click Import data from another browser.
7. Select the application that contains the settings you'd like to import:
* Firefox (Windows, Mac, and Linux)
* Internet Explorer (Windows)
* Safari (Mac)
* Google Toolbar (Windows)
8. Make sure that only the checkboxes for items you want to import are selected.
9. Click Import.
